Prevention Educator

Child Abuse Prevention Services of Tuscaloosa is currently accepting applications for Prevention Educators for the Second Step Program. The position is an in-school part-time placement, in which each educator serves all grades and classes in one Tuscaloosa City or County School with a social-emotional competence and behavioral management curriculum on a weekly basis. This is an hourly at-will position that lasts the duration of one school year. Rate of pay: $15/hour. Closing Date: 8/18/2014Position Duties:·   Complete all training activities required by funding sources (Domestic Violence, Mandatory Reporter,  CTF      Alliance)·    Participate in agency required programmatic orientation and planning activities prior to start of program·    Deliver satisfactory implementation of programmatic curriculum to classes at Tuscaloosa County/City schools·    Accurately collect and record demographic and attendance data of clients daily·     Submit aforementioned data to the office by the  first Friday of every month·     Administer pre-tests before the start of lesson delivery and post-tests upon completion of the  curriculum·     Plan lessons and make/request necessary copies and materials in advance·     Attend and participate in monthly staff meetingsInterested persons, please send resume via email to Patricia Cade at pcade@capstuscaloosa.org.
